CD&R pursues buyout of $40 billion payments processor Global Payments, FT reports — Bottineau Business news

Oct 30 (Reuters) Private equity firm CD R is looking to acquire Global Payments, ‌which has an enterprise value of roughly $40 billion, the Financial Times ‌reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. CD R has teamed up with private equity group GTCR, Global Payments biggest shareholder, on a joint bid for the payment processor, the report added. Talks are ongoing and ‌a deal may not materialize, the FT said. Shares of the company rose 17% in afternoon trading. Global Payments and ‌CD R did not immediately respond to ‌Reuters requests for comment. Reuters could not independently verify the report.
