GOLDEN VALLEY COUNTY, N.D. — Paul J Schmitz is running for Golden Valley County Commissioner in District 3. He is running against one other candidate: Rory Farstveet. What do you hope to achieve as a County Commissioner? I hope to keep the county moving in a forward direction with bringing in new businesses and making sure the businesses and residents that are here keep progressing as well, and our residents stay and not have to move on to maintaining a decent way of life for their families elsewhere. What sets you apart from the other candidate in this election? I don't think any one thing sets me apart from any other candidate. We all want our county to grow and succeed and move forward. There's one candidate a couple years older than me and I believe our age and experience helps. What are your top priorities for this position?
